Tsunami Relief
On December 26, 2004 a giant waves swept over much of the coastal areas of the Indian Ocean. More than 230,000 people lost their lives, millions were left with homeless. Many lost family, home, all their possessions, their livelihoods, and their communities all in one devastating morning. Compassion cried out to do what we could to help, comfort and restore those who had suffered such staggering losses. Circle of Love was asked to help provide safe drinking water in Sri Lanka. We raised money for 40 water purifying systems. A team also went over to Sri Lanka to train our ministry partners at Calvary Church in Colombo how to install and maintain the units. Several medical personnel assisted with primary heath care needs of survivors in Kalmunai. Joining with Dutch believers we were also able to provide kerosene cookers for a refugee camp. Circle of Love is supporting 8 orphan boys "adopted" by the Kalmunai Assemblies of God
