Microdevelopment

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes
and daily food. If one of you says to him,
"Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed
but does nothing about his physical needs,
what good is that?"

James 2:16

 Giving a Hand Up

Grinding poverty, lack of education, lack of opportunities and lack of creativity keep many new believers in a cycle of poverty and discouragement. They need a hand up not a hand-out. Microdevelpment projects provide job training, tools, small loans and mentoring coupled with discipleship. This allows people to change their lives and become responsible citizens. Empowering individuals to changes begins with a vibrant and living relationship with God established through repentance, forgiveness of sin and discipleship. This continues on with equipping people with skill and tools necessary to bring about meaningful change in their own financial situation and requires hard-work on the part of the individual who wants to see a breakthrough.

Projects Circle has funded include:

Providing block making machines for making cement building blocks

Providing sewing machines and/or training in sewing and initial accessories and materials to train ladies to be seamstresses

Providing material for beadwork and jewelry making

Cows and pigs for the Khmu people of Thailand

Computer training classes

Providing gardening, haircutting, and shoe repair tools

Gardening tools and veggie tunnels for growing vegetables

Clockmaking classes
